Cruising in the Bahamas, Pt 1

I had the good fortune of traveling to the Bahamas this past weekend to visit my boyfriend M, who is cruising around down there with his dad on his dad's boat. It was a whirlwind weekend, full of eating, drinking, sleeping in, sailing, and some (cold) swimming. I tried to capture some local food tidbits, but the food is pretty American. Of course, they eat a lot of conch, and something called taco in a bag...

On Sunday, we sailed over to Great Guana Cay in search of the oceanside bar, Nipper's. Once we found it, we ordered a round of Kaliks (local beer, tastes like Heineken) and a plate of fries, watched kids play on the beach to our left and adults dancing (poorly) to Jimmy Buffett and Peter Tosh on our right.

French fries, beer, boyfriend and the beach? Doesn't get much better than that!
