And this is what I ended up eating. It's un-moussed mousse over strawberries. My mousse didn't set, my pavlovas didn't crisp. Sigh! I did end up with a bunch of chocolate mascarpone cream though, so all is not lost. Check out some of the other bakers for more successful versions of this month's challenge.
The June 2010 Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Dawn of Doable and Delicious. Dawn challenged the Daring Bakers’ to make Chocolate Pavlovas and Chocolate Mascarpone Mousse. The challenge recipe is based on a recipe from the book Chocolate Epiphany by Francois Payard.
Who needs the other stuff when you got a bunch of chocolate and mascarpone to chow down on?
ReplyDeleteDon't sweat it. You done good.
Omg! I totally forgot about the challenge the month. Ha. I'm a bad blogger. And you Kt need some baking help I see! I made a pavlova a couple of years back and it was definitely tricky. Was it the humidity in your kitchen?? Maybe something was up with your eggs?? Looks yummy either way and cute little ceramicware!
